TRYZUB AWARDS
PRESENTED BY
IN PARTNERSHIP WITH
On behalf of myself and the entire Tryzub Awards committee, I would like to congratulate this evening’s recipients on their well deserved awards.
More than a year has passed since Russian aggressors attempted to undermine Ukrainian Sovereignty. In the eyes of the world, it has been a year of resilience, strength and perseverance for Ukrainians who have solidified their presence, culture and history on a global scale.
This year we are thrilled to have selected these deserving recipients, Boris Horodynsky and William Browder. Boris is an outstanding example of a Ukrainian-Canadian that has dedicated his life to his community and philanthropy. Bill has been a vocal opponent of Russia, leading the global push for the Magnitsky Act and advocating for Ukraine. We are humbled to be able to honour you both.
Thank you to the generosity of all of our supporters. We have once again surpassed our target for this year!
These funds will be shared between the Ukrainian World Congress for humanitarian initiatives in support of the Ukrainian people and the Shevchenko Foundation for programming in support of Ukrainians displaced by the war and continuing to arrive in Canada.
We look forward to an evening of celebration and reflection.
Our hearts and prayers continue to be with the people of Ukraine.СЛАВА УКРАЇНІ !

The proceeds from tonight’s dinner will be used to fund two specific initiatives in support of Ukraine.
Ukrainian World Congress.
The organization has been spearheading humanitarian aid and efforts in war torn Ukraine since the start of the war. UWC has been working tirelessly to ensure that support and aid are reaching the front lines and to the civilians that need it the most.
One of their most successful campaigns has been Unite With Ukraine, sending much needed military equipment and supplies to the region. You can learn more here: www.unitewithukraine.com
The Shevchenko Foundation.
The Shevchenko Foundation has become a go to organisation for Newcomers and non Ukrainians learning to navigate the system and garner information on how to support the war in Ukraine.
TSF continues to promote programs to make cultural and educational opportunities more accessible for displaced Ukrainian youth in Canada.
The Shevchenko Foundation (TSF) is a national charity that fuels artistic creativity, community development, and the evolution of Ukrainian Canadian culture within the Canadian experience.
In its leadership role as a catalyst for strategic philanthropy, TSF celebrates Ukrainian Canadian community, arts, heritage, and education, as integral to the Canadian identity.
The Ukrainian Canadian community has been an integral part of the development of Canada for more than 130 years and continues to be a leading contributor to Canada’s ongoing development.
The Tryzub Awards were created by The Myhal Family Foundation which saw a need to unify our community across Canada to celebrate the accomplishments of those who have achieved success in their chosen fields, have worked in support of Ukraine, Ukrainian causes, the Ukrainian-Canadian community and Canada overall.
With support and partnership from The Shevchenko Foundation, we have aspired to reach the entire Ukrainian-Canadian diaspora to celebrate our recipients, and through The Shevchenko Foundation, use the raised funds to support numerous causes that reflect the daily lives and interests of Ukrainian Canadians.
And to all of our supporters who purchased tickets to join us this evening to celebrate our outstanding recipients.
